Tong Wu

Tong is a partner in the firm’s Minneapolis office. He uses his knowledge and skills in law, science and languages to help his clients achieve their business goals. He advises U.S. and international clients on intellectual property law, with an emphasis on patent portfolio planning and procurement, infringement and validity assessment, and technology transfer. He also has extensive experience in intellectual property right dispute resolution.

Tong is well versed in a variety of technology areas, including semiconductor and superconductor devices, medical imaging and diagnostic systems, materials characterization and testing systems, optical systems, electronics, telecommunication systems, and orthopedic implants.

A native Mandarin Chinese speaker, Tong frequently works with U.S. clients who have patent or intellectual property issues in Asia, and with Asian clients who have issues in the U.S. He is also experienced in litigation and transactional matters involving Chinese-speaking witnesses and Chinese documents.

Tong has performed pro bono legal services in immigration areas through The Advocates for Human Rights, a nonprofit organization. His other interests include classical music and traveling.
