I am a Relationship Manager at Broughton Ward, a boutique team at Merrill. Our team is specifically equipped to help some of the firm’s highest net worth clients navigate significant wealth. Clients have access to our 15 member team as well as specialists from across Merrill and the broader Bank of America organization.
We intentionally work with a limited number of clients, including executives, entrepreneurs and early stage employees, multi-generational families, family offices, and a variety of institutions. I have personal experience working with entrepreneurs and early stage employees at successful growth companies across the country, helping plan for equity compensation, liquidity events, concentrated stock, and life post-liquidity.
We believe that our team’s quantitatively driven investment process, including the 5 proprietary portfolios we manage in-house, differentiates us from many other financial advisors. We emphasize risk-adjusted returns, cash flow management, and tax efficiency and have a 3rd party audited track record that dates back to ’02. Our portfolios are managed to a fiduciary standard, meaning client interests always come first. We believe so strongly in our process that Broughton Ward team members and their families combine to be the 5th largest investor in our portfolios.
Investments are core to what we do, but how we work with clients to simplify their financial lives, plan for a liquidity event or life transition, facilitate tricky family conversations about money, or help to positively transition wealth and values across generations can be just as impactful.
I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a degree in finance.
